Internship at DI’s Southeast Asia office in Vietnam – Autumn 2026
DI Southeast Asia (DI SEA) is looking for an intern to support our activities in the region for five months, starting in august 2026.
DI is Denmark’s largest international employers’ and business and organization, representing more than 20.000 member companies across manufacturing, energy, IT, transport, health, trade, and professional services sectors. We have DI offices in Brussels, Germany, USA, China, Kenya, India, South Korea and Vietnam.
About DI’s newly established office
DI SEA is based in Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City) and has a dual purpose: to manage DI’s strategic partnerships with local business organisations to promote sustainable growth and job creation, and to help Danish companies establish themselves and grow in Southeast Asia.
Through our partnership approach we have forged close ties with the local business community and Danish companies in the region to create sustainable, economic development that creates opportunities - for local and Danish companies.
The office is made possible through financial support from DI's strategic partnership agreement with Danida.
About the Job
As an intern, you will become part of a small office set-up in Ho Chi Minh City, while also being an integrated member of the passionate teams at DI in Copenhagen.
We are looking for an intern who is responsible and passionate, and eager to take on varied tasks within business development, project management, communications, and sustainability. Your responsibilities may include:
Strengthening communications, including sharing regional economic, political, and sustainability developments via social media and articles
Collecting case stories that document our activities and impact
Analysing market potential across various sectors in Southeast Asia, developing reports, and preparing presentations
Facilitate knowledge sharing between this region and Denmark
Researching and identifying Danish companies interested in entering the Southeast Asian market
Coordinating and supporting delegations visiting the region
Identifying potential local project partners and buyers for Danish solution
Supporting project planning and implementation
Supporting the team with ad hoc assignments
What We Expect from You
We are seeking an intern with:
A strong interest in sustainable development, emerging markets and business development
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in Danish and English
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and at the same time deliver high-quality results
Good interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset
Proactive, with the ability to balance multiple tasks concurrently
Ideally, you are a master's student with some international experience

Practical Information
Duration: 5 months, starting the 1st of August 2025.
Working Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week). Reduced working hours can be arranged.
Compensation: The internship is unpaid, but DI provides partial reimbursement for housing. You may also apply for grants to cover additional expenses. Travel and health insurance included.
Credits: The internship is typically eligible for academic credit.
Location: DI’s office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The internship will start with an introduction at DI’s headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark for 3-4 weeks.
