Director of Sales and Business Development - The Americas (Contex & Colortrac)
On behalf of one of our valued clients, Global Scanning Group, we are recruiting a Director of Sales and Business Development – Americas, based in the Washington DC metro area.
Global Scanning Group is looking for a Director of Sales and Business Development - The Americas (Contex and Colotrac)
This role is well suited for a commercially strong leader who is ready to take the next step and assume broader regional responsibility with real ownership, visibility, and impact.
You will report directly to the Global Chief Commercial Officer and take the lead in driving growth and building commercial momentum across the Americas for two established global technology brands, Contex and Colortrac.
The primary objective of the role is to drive growth by expanding and strengthening the distributor and channel footprint across the Americas.
About the role
As Director of Sales and Business Development – Americas, you will lead commercial growth across the United States, Canada, and Latin America through a distributor and partner led sales model.
You will work closely with existing distributors and partners to improve performance, focus, and execution, while also identifying, onboarding, and developing new channel partners to expand market coverage and accelerate growth.
The Americas operation is intentionally lean. This role requires a hands on, execution oriented leader who enjoys being close to day to day decision making, prioritization, and commercial follow through, while building structure and scale over time.
Key responsibilities include
Own and drive regional sales performance, growth priorities, and execution across the Americas
Identify, recruit, onboard, and develop new distributors and channel partners
Lead and manage existing distributors and partners, ensuring strong execution and accountability
Track and analyze sales performance, pipeline, and KPIs, initiating corrective actions when needed
Balance sales forecasting, supply planning, and inventory coordination in close collaboration with HQ and factory.
Drive portfolio and segment focus aligned with global strategy
Take leadership responsibility for the Americas office, including commercial coordination and operational oversight
Act as the primary Americas interface to global management and cross functional teams
About you
Approximately 10 years of experience in commercial roles, including around 5 years in B2B sales
Experience working with distributor, partner, or channel based sales models
Demonstrated readiness to take on broader leadership responsibility and regional ownership
Hands on, execution driven, and comfortable operating in a lean setup
Motivated by impact, autonomy, and building momentum rather than managing large established organizations
Strong commercial understanding of forecasting, KPIs, and performance drivers
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical commercial experience
Based in the US and able to operate regionally across the Americas
What we offer
A step up opportunity into a regional leadership role with real responsibility and decision making authority
Direct exposure to executive leadership and the opportunity to shape and grow the Americas business
A role where progress, initiative, and results are highly visible
Competitive compensation and performance based incentive package
An international work environment with Scandinavian roots, emphasizing trust, accountability, and professionalism
